First Blog!

Welcome everyone to our Hermitage Golf Course Blog.  I look forward to posting once every week to keep you all updated on all the good things happening here at the course.  I hope this will be fun for you as well as for us.  Kara tells me this is like a diary, but I am even too scared to read my own diary, much less share with everyone else.  But, there are a lot of interesting things that go on here at the course involving our wonderful customers, interesting tidbits about our staff and even all the details about the wildlife that makes Hermitage Golf Course their home!  As a matter of fact, our two Bald Eagles returned Saturday from their summer vacation.  We don't really know where they go, but according to the wildlife agency, it could be anywhere from three to four months, but they always return home to their nest.  The nest is across the river from number four green on the President's Reserve.  You can't see it in the summer with all of the leaves on the tree, but once the leaves fall, you can!  It is about the size of an upside down Volkswagen!  I traveled out this morning just to see them and welcome the two of them back home.  It was as if God was saying "I am always here looking over you."Until next week, I hope you all have a great week!Mike Eller
